I’ve been captivated by recent developments in artificial intelligence, particularly the fascinating world of language models (LLMs) and chatbots. Witnessing the field’s rapid expansion over the past few years has only intensified my interest. So, I’ve made the decision to dive deeper into this exciting domain.
Starting with Python
To embark on this journey, I recognize the importance of understanding the foundational tools. Python, with its versatility and widespread adoption, stands out as the language of choice. While I’ve tinkered with Python sporadically, I believe in starting from scratch. That’s why I’ve enrolled in Dr. Angela Yu’s Udemy course, “100 Days of Code: The Complete Python Pro Bootcamp.”
This course caters to developers of all skill levels. Although some initial lessons cover basics like data types and program flow—topics I’m already familiar with—I’ve chosen not to skip them. Instead, I’ll watch the early videos at double speed and swiftly navigate through the Auditorium exercises.
As of now, I’ve completed the first three lessons, and my plan is to tackle 3-4 lessons each day. I’ll continue until the material demands more focused attention, at which point I’ll adjust my pace. Lesson three was a small text-based adventure game, which can be tested here.
